We acknowledge Christ as the Head of our church and submit ourselves and all our activities to His will and good pleasure (Eph. 1:22-23).

2.      Biblical Teaching:

We strive to teach God’s Word with integrity and authority so that seekers find Christ and believers mature in Him (2 Tim. 3:16).

3.      Authentic Worship:

We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and in the corporate, contemporary worship of our church (Rom. 12:1-2).

4.      Prayer:

We rely on private and corporate prayer in the conception, planning, and execution of all the ministries and activities of this church. (Matthew 7:7-11)

5.      Family:

We support the spiritual nurture of the family as one of God's dynamic means to perpetuate the Christian faith. (2 Timothy 1:5)

6.      Relationship:

We are committed to reaching a lost world through love, acceptance, and forgiveness. We value healthy relationships by protecting the unity of the Spirit in our church.

7.      Sense of Community:

We ask all people to commit to and fully participate in Biblically functioning groups where they may reach the lost, exercise their gifts, are shepherded, and thus grow in Christ likeness (Acts 2:44-46).

8.      Grace Orientation to life and ministry.

We encourage our people to live and serve Christ from hearts of love and gratitude rather than guilt, shame, and condemnation (Rom. 6:14).

9.      Lost People:

We value un-churched, lost people and will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win, and mature them (Luke 19:10).

10.  Creativity and Innovation:

We will constantly evaluate our forms and methods, seeking cultural relevance and maximum ministry effectiveness for Christ (1 Chron. 9:19-23).

11.  Teamwork:

We believe that doing church as a team is God's design for effective ministry. We believe that every member as a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and used to serve the ministry of our church (Eph. 4:11-13).

12.  Ministry Excellence:

Since God gave his very best (the Savior), we seek to honor Him by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all our ministries and activities. (Colossians 3:23-24).

OUR VISION

At Calvary Vietnamese Baptist Church:

1.      We envision our sharing the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection for thousands of non-believer friends and people in our community, many of whom accept Him as Savior.

2.      We envision developing all our people, new believers as well as established believers, into fully functioning followers of Christ through people friendly, spirit-filled worship services, Sunday school, special events, and small groups.

3.      We envision becoming a church where all people can participate and have a safe place where we accept one another and are accepted, love and are loved, shepherd and are shepherded, encourage and are encouraged, forgive and are forgiven and serve and are served.

4.      We envision helping all our people, youth as well as adults, to discover their divine design so that they are equipped to serve Christ effectively in some ministry either within or outside our church.  Our goal is that every member be a minister.

5.      We envision welcoming numerous members into our body who are excited about Christ, experience healing in their body, their soul, their family relationships and their marriages, and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
